The small print, in plain words
Cookie policy
Everything this site stores on your device, listed. Nothing optional is stored until you say yes.
What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Sites can also keep information in your browser’s local and session storage. The law treats them the same way (EU ePrivacy Directive, art. 5(3); in Malta, S.L. 586.01), and so do we: anything that is not strictly necessary waits for your permission.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask. “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”, and you can choose category by category. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off unless you switch it on yourself. You can change your mind at any time: , or use the link in the footer of every page.
What we store
Strictly necessary (always on)
| Name | Type | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
haikuu_consent | First-party cookie | Remembers your cookie choice, with a random identifier and the date, so we do not ask on every page | 180 days |
haikuu:mask | Session storage | Remembers the mask you are wearing, so the colours and the work you see stay the same from page to page | Until you close the tab |
haikuu:overture | Session storage | Remembers that you have seen the opening animation in this tab, so it does not replay | Until you close the tab |
haikuu:blink | Session storage | Carries the page-change animation from one page to the next | Until the next page loads |
haikuu:sound | Session storage | Remembers whether you turned sound on, for this tab only | Until you close the tab |
Preferences (only with your permission)
| Name | Type | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
haikuu:sound | Local storage | Remembers your sound setting between visits | Until you clear it or withdraw permission |
Analytics (only with your permission)
None at the moment. If we add visit statistics, they will appear here first and will only load if you switch analytics on.
Advertising and marketing
None. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies. Links to our social profiles are plain links: nothing loads from those platforms until you click.
Third-party content
Our address links to Google Maps. Nothing from Google loads until you follow the link, at which point Google’s own policies apply.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may mean we ask for your cookie choice on every page.
